School of the Nations, Macau

School of the Nations is situated in the vibrant Special Administrative Region of Macau. It was founded over 35 years ago with a clear aspiration: to learn how to release students’ potential in ever more effective ways and prepare them to live meaningful lives that contribute to the progress of society. SON is an internationally oriented, non-profit, day school serving over 700 mostly local students aged 3 to 18.

We offer an education that integrates the IB Diploma and IGCSE programmes with customised curricula in younger years in a manner that emphasises character development, service, and social responsibility. As a Bahá’í‑inspired school, we draw on universal spiritual principles and values in the educational process, recognising the potential of each student to develop noble qualities and play their part in building a harmonious and prosperous civilisation.

Like every school, SON has a distinct culture. Educators who excel here are collaborative, adaptable, open‑minded, rigorous, and hard‑working. Success calls for humility and flexibility—being willing to question assumptions and explore education through a lens that draws on insights from educational theory as well as humanity’s spiritual heritage. As a community, we prioritise student learning and holistic development above all other objectives.

If you are eager to engage deeply with a distinct approach to education within a purposeful and supportive community in the rich cultural context of China, we warmly invite you to explore opportunities at SON. Before applying please complete our Application Checklist.
